Michael B. Dembinski
December 4, 1980 – May 3, 2025
Michael passed away surrounded by family and friends following a heroic battle with Colorectal Cancer. Diagnosed in 2019 without a single warning sign, Michael faced the disease with incredible strength and unwavering optimism, taking his greatest joys in his friends and family's accomplishments, laughing and creating memories.
During his treatments at the University of Pennsylvania, Michael found himself regularly looking across the street at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP), speaking of those children – their bravery, their resilience, and their families. It humbled him, moved him. Michael was never just “getting through it”, he had an incredible sense of empathy and gratitude while fighting through his own suffering, lifting up others while keeping his own incredible strength.
Michael’s legacy will live on through the laughter and friendship shared at the Golf Tournament in October! Proceeds from the tournament will support CHOP in Michael’s name to advance disease treatments in hopes for children to grow up and live a full, healthy life. Today also serves as a reminder for all of us straight from Michael: Get screened! No excuses… Michael’s diagnosis came with zero symptoms and early screening saves lives!
Our heartfelt thanks to Pinecrest Lake Golf & Country Club for hosting this amazing event and to all of you for your unwavering support! Here’s to Michael – a fighter, a friend, a man who made this world a better place, one laugh and one kind word at a time… you are loved forever!
